According to Rotary International, RYLA stands for Rotary
Youth Leadership Award.

Most of our RYLA participants are found through there local
Interact Club, or by a school Guidance Counselor. However, for more information,
please contact your local Rotary Club. All participants must be
sponsored by a Rotary Club. To locate your local club, visit

Rotary District 7500 RYLA is held at Georgian Court University in
Lakewood, New Jersey. More information about Georgian Court College can be found
at www.georgian.edu.

High school students who will be sophomores and juniors and who are living in Monmouth, Ocean
or Burlington Counties, New Jersey. You must be a minimum of 15 years of age.

The RYLA conference is supervised and overseen by the Rotary
District 7500-RYLA committee which comprises of five Rotarians that live in the
Monmouth, Ocean and Burlington Counties, N.J. Each team (10-15 RYLA
participants) is directly supervised by two counselors, who are typically one to
two years older then the RYLA Participants, and one Advisor who is typically two
to five years older then the RYLA participants.

The conference costs the RYLA participant nothing. The
conference registrations is paid for by the sponsoring Rotary Club. The cost for
each student in 2008, is $350. This price includes room, meals, t-shirt and registration.

A complete registration packet will be mailed to each accepted
RYLA participant. The information packet will include a list of things to expect
and bring, copy of the RYLA Ruckus (our newsletter), and directions on how to

No, RYLA participants are not allowed to bring there vehicles
to campus.

Special arrangements can be made, however, please know that
you will be missing out on activities.

All RYLA graduates are invited to our RYLA Counselor Selection
Day which is held the first Saturday in January. The cost is $25, for
registration and lunch. Information will be provided via email in October.
